Jim Sadler is a local jazz guitarist and composer. He has been in multiple bands, rock and jazz. Jim is currently developing his own brand of original jazz through his influences of funk, blues, jam and jazz. He is recording his first record as a leader this spring with an anticipated release in the spring of 2017.

Jim has been playing and studying guitar for 20 years. He graduated Atlanta Institute of Music with honors in 1999. He has also studied with Dan Baraszu, and Rick Burgess and was a participant of the master classes of Corey Christiansen, Jimmy Herring (Widespread Panic), and Lionel Loueke (Herbie Hancock). Jim Sadler graduated cum laude from Kennesaw State University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Music Degree in Jazz Guitar Performance where he studied with guitarist Trey Wright and played in several ensembles including KSU Big Bands directed by Sam Skelton and Wes Funderburk.

Jim and his band can offer multiple instrumentations including duos, trios, quartets, and quintets with combinations of guitar, bass, drums, saxophone and vocals.
