Sounds

The Jim Sadler Group is the culmination of decades of performing, studying, and listening to a variety of styles. The driving force behind this outfit, Jim Sadler is a veteran of several bands and has musical influences between funk, blues, jam and jazz ( with a little bluegrass mixed in). The group has their fingers on the pulse of not just the music of the current moment, but the atmospheric possibilities of the next.

J.S.G. was a featured performer of the 2012 Buford Jazz Festival, and has played many private events, charity events, parties and weddings. The instrumentation varies from gig to gig. This approach keeps the feel and the sound fresh and new. A soft delicate wash of melody to a cutting edge jazz-fusion jam with multiple time-signatures and syncopated rhythms that take you on an exploratory journey, the band simply can do it all.

As the groups main composer, Jim Sadler pulls from his influences of Phish, Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia, Pat Martino, Trey Anastasio, Wes Montgomery, Pat Metheny, John Scofield, Joe Pass, Trey Wright, Pink Floyd, and many others.
